Agustin Arellano for Harper’s Bazaar – April 2023
In his blood he carries the love for horses and his passion for portraying them from a very young age, first with drawings and then accompanied by photography and as a result today he presents his first equestrian fine art project where he gathers observations, stories, experiences and sensations from his life. in the equestrian world, where he seeks to inspire, mobilize, tell, rethink, signal and explore competitive equestrian life, inviting viewers to complete the picture in their mind based on their experiences with horses and equestrian sports as well as those who are alien to that world to be able to immerse them from a deeper, poetic and intimate side in different ways, always appealing to a minimalist and decorative aesthetic to make the message and story behind each photograph more free, clear and powerful.
He has also tried to take elements from nature because of his love for it and how he is perfect for appealing to the memory of many people. This is just the beginning of many photographs, drawings, and sculptures that he has sketched and are in the making. All this thanks to the company, inspiration and support of his wife Azul Victoria Lorenzo who is an experienced rider who has made her career in Argentina and now continues her professional career as a trainer in Wellington.

Schreiterer says, “these images are the beginning of an exploration in which I intend to play with the history and symbology of the objects together with the image of the horse but trying to get out of the predictable and literal when we talk about equestrian art”.
A different approach to a saturated equine art market that relies heavily on beautiful images and artistic techniques, leaving aside the real and deep stories where to immerse yourself and explore new ways of perceiving the world of equestrian fine art photography.
