A Landmark Reimagined
The Vineta Hotel first welcomed guests in the 1920s, later taking on a new identity as The Chesterfield in 1989. Now, the storied property is set to return to Cocoanut Row, reclaiming its historic name and place in Palm Beach history. This restoration not only revives the property’s historic identity but also positions it at the forefront of Palm Beach’s luxury hospitality landscape.
Managed by Oetker Hotels, the Vineta will be the group’s first Masterpiece Hotel in the United States, joining an elite portfolio that includes Le Bristol Paris and Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. Oetker’s arrival brings international recognition to Palm Beach and highlights the island’s growing influence as a destination of global importance.

Design and Experience
The reimagination of the property has been entrusted to AD 100 designer Tino Zervudachi, whose vision balances heritage and modernity. The redesign will reduce the number of rooms from 53 to 37, allowing for more generous layouts, greater privacy, and an atmosphere that feels as much like a private residence as a boutique hotel.
The Mediterranean Revival architecture, which has long made the property a local landmark, will be carefully preserved, while interiors will be refreshed with bright, island-inspired details. Guests can expect new dining and bar concepts that reflect Palm Beach’s lively social scene, alongside serene spaces designed for retreat and relaxation. With its enviable location just steps from Worth Avenue, the Vineta will offer both convenience and discretion, appealing to visitors who seek the heart of Palm Beach without sacrificing intimacy.

Leadership and Vision
Guiding this next chapter will be Emanuela Setterberg Di Vivo, who brings a wealth of experience from luxury brands including Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Bulgari, and One&Only. Her appointment underscores the hotel’s commitment to excellence and thoughtful service.
Under her leadership, the Vineta is poised to become more than a place to stay; it will be a destination where tradition, design, and modern hospitality meet. The rebirth of the Vineta reflects Palm Beach’s ability to honor its heritage while embracing the evolving standards of global luxury. With its reopening, the island gains not only a beautifully restored landmark but also a symbol of its continued relevance on the international stage.
