This October, art, nature and philanthropy come together at one of West Palm Beach’s most distinctive settings.
On October 16, the Perry J. Cohen Foundation will present Art With A Heart, a benefit auction at the historic Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens featuring works by more than 50 internationally recognized and emerging artists.
Set throughout the Gardens’ two-acre sanctuary, the evening will bring together collectors, community leaders, environmental advocates and supporters around a shared purpose: using the power of art to create opportunities for the next generation.
A Collection With Purpose
The auction brings an impressive range of contemporary art to Palm Beach, with works by Jeff Koons, Shepard Fairey, RETNA, Carole Feuerman, David LaChapelle, Mr. Brainwash, Hunt Slonem, David Yarrow, Andres Valencia and many more.
The entire collection will be on view at the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens from October 8 through October 16, leading into the benefit evening.
A live auction, presented in partnership with Palm Beach Modern Auctions, will take place on October 16. An accompanying online silent auction opens October 8, expanding the offering beyond fine art to include luxury goods, sports memorabilia and one-of-a-kind experiences.
But the works on the walls are only part of the story.
Where Art Creates Impact
Art With A Heart reflects the four pillars at the center of the Perry J. Cohen Foundation: the arts, environmental and marine education, youth entrepreneurship and boating safety.
Since its founding, PJCF has helped send more than 1,000 children to boating safety classes and provided underserved youth with opportunities to participate in boating, sailing and environmental programs.
Its impact can also be seen in the Perry J. Cohen Wetlands Laboratory at Jupiter Community High School, for which the Foundation raised more than $600,000, and through an endowment at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School supporting scholarships for students studying oceans and the environment.
The Foundation has also supported wildlife organizations, arts education and exhibitions centered around marine life, environmental preservation and the natural world.
Each initiative carries forward Perry’s own interests while giving young people the opportunity to discover passions of their own.
Art, Nature and the Next Generation
Proceeds from Art With A Heart will allow that work to continue. A portion will benefit the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens, supporting an institution where art, education and nature have long existed side by side.
Additional support will benefit Loggerhead Marinelife Center and the Perry J. Cohen Boating Safety & Ocean Stewardship Course, including a floating classroom designed to give children firsthand experience with South Florida’s waterways and natural environment.
For participating artist Shepard Fairey, who also designed the Perry J. Cohen Foundation logo, the connection between creativity and the Foundation’s mission is a natural one.

It is a philosophy that resonates throughout the evening. Art becomes more than something to collect. It becomes a way to educate, inspire and invest in what comes next.

Event Details
Art With A Heart takes place Friday, October 16 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens, 253 Barcelona Road in West Palm Beach. The artwork will be on view beginning October 8, with the silent auction also opening online that day.
The Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens will provide a fitting backdrop for the cause. Guests will gather among its monumental sculptures and tropical landscape for a sunset reception featuring music, signature cocktails and seasonal hors d’oeuvres before the evening’s live auction and presentation.
The Foundation will also share updates on its recent scholarships, community programs and upcoming grant initiatives, giving guests a closer look at where their support goes beyond the evening itself.
