A Glass of Wine by the Fire at Sag Harbor Kitchen

If musical chairs were played with Eames rockers it would describe the high-end Hamptons restaurant scene. Sag Harbor said a fond farewell to Dockside and welcomes Sag Harbor Kitchen from Chef Melissa O’Donnell in partnership with Kittch.com at 26 Bay Street. The makeover includes a freshened interior and outdoor fireside lounges for star lit cocktails. Both reservations and walk ups welcome for a farm and sea to table menu. Bienvenue to Vin Sur Vingt at the former Montauk Lobster House on 29 Main Street in Sag Harbor. Extensive wines by the glass and a classic French bistro menu are a welcome gastronomic addition from the NYC favorite.

The French theme continues at Enchanté in Southampton occupying the former popular Red Bar at 210 Hampton Road, the newest edition of the popular EHP Hospitality group which includes East Hampton Point and Marina, SiSi and Sunset Harbor. The chic mid-century inspired interiors are indeed charming including the fashionable bar. Guests are raving about the classic French menu, wine list and artisanal cocktails for dinner and a buzzy brunch.

Taking advantage of stunning sunsets over Fort Pond, Mavericks Montauk updates the East by Northeast space at 515 S. Edgemere with sophisticated interiors by Damon Liss and a delicious surf and turf menu from Chef Jeremy Blutstein. Managing partner, sommelier and author Vanessa Price brings here wine savvy and there is even live piano music. In East Hampton the historic Maidstone Inn is ready for her new close-up. Hotelier, restaurateur and former Wall Street Executive Mayank Dwivedi acquired the boutique hotel in partnership with visionary entrepreneur, Irwin Simon, known for supporting small local businesses in the Hamptons community. Restaurateurs Mathias Van Leyden and Mino Habib bring in Loulou La Plage with a playful outdoor garden with fare from Executive Chef Evan Bergman.

Down the street favorite luxe boutique hotel The Baker House 1650 adds a lovely Sunday Tea to its offering on the pergola covered patio overlooking the pool and gardens. It is also a hot spot for owner Antonella Bertello’s “Sunset Aperitivo at Baker” from Wednesdays to Saturdays, from 5 to 7pm, offering five signature drinks including the famous Peruvian Pisco Sour.

Fans of Tutto Il Giorno with outposts in Sag Harbor and Southampton are pleased to have a new East Hampton incarnation Tutto Caffé with a charming dining area and patio as well as coffee bar, patisserie and take out. The new power lunch spot also features the new organic coffee venture of Gianpaolo de Felice, Gabby Karan de Felice and David Meyer, Buena Vida from Costa Rica.
