This fall, Altima Caviar moved from New Orleans ballrooms to Texas green space, supporting the chefs, farmers, storytellers, and service workers who shape the flavor of America. From film galas to culinary festivals, this month was about contribution, connection, and showing up for our community.
Southern Smoke Foundation
The Southern Smoke Foundation held their annual food festival at Discovery Green in Houston, Texas on October 4, 2025. This year SSF raised 1.7M to aid in their vital mission offering emergency relief and no-cost mental-health counselling to food and beverage workers. Altima Caviar, an avid supporter of SSF, supported the foundation by contributing curated caviar experiences throughout the festivities. From farmers to fry cooks, servers to sommeliers, Southern Smoke takes care of their own by providing financial support to food and beverage workers when it’s needed most. Whether facing unforeseen hardships or seeking mental health care, their funds and resources are there to help those who put food or drinks on the table. New Orleans Film Society Gala
This year’s Gala, hosted by the incomparable Judith Owen, honored two remarkable talents in film and music: Lucinda Williams, awarded Lifetime Achievement, and Darcy McKinnon, recognized with the Lumière Award.
Guests savored extraordinary tasting experiences, from craft cocktails to Altima Caviar featuring signature dishes from some of New Orleans’ most celebrated restaurants. Guests also enjoyed an exclusive performance by Grammy Award–winning artist Nathaniel Rateliff.
The New Orleans Film Society Gala is the signature fundraising event for promoting independent cinema and filmmakers, particularly in Louisiana. Altima Caviar’s support of this gala reflects its vision of aligning with cultural-luxury moments where storytelling, place and prestige converge. Providing a premium caviar presence at the gala with red carpet roaming caviar bumps or stationary caviar eloquence it was an unforgettable evening.
