Fashion Round-Up: May Moments
May has been an extraordinary month filled with memorable events, glamorous parties, and international travels. From attending the launch of a new caftan brand to hosting a grand finale screening party for Palm Royale, and exploring the fashion capitals of London and Paris, my Instagram, and real life, has been a whirlwind of excitement. Below is a recap of my favorite fashion moments.
Semsem Palm Beach Début:
At the end of April, I had the honor of attending the Palm Beach début of Semsem, an exquisite luxury clothing brand founded by Egyptian-born Abeer Al Otaiba. Inspired by the bond between herself and her daughter, Abeer, formerly a civil engineer, turned her sites to her passions: Fashion and Social Responsibility. Every piece of clothing is entirely hand-made and incorporates two recurring Egyptian motifs: a triangle and a lotus flower. Building off her dedication to advancing women’s rights, each seasonal collection features a partnership with an organization dedicated to a cause surrounding SemSem’s philanthropic priorities. I chose a beautiful very light pink pleated caftan with varying shades depending on the light, which I never wanted to take off!
Palm Royale Finale Screening:
Hosting over 300 guests for the Palm Royale series finale was a glamorous success. Local icons donned couture, vintage, and caftans. I was lucky to wear a pink Carolina Herrera dress that hadn’t even hit the stores yet! Stay tuned for more local events!
London and Paris:
End of May, ,I experienced two of the world’s most iconic fashion cities: London and Paris. From the historic streets of London to the romantic boulevards of Paris, I left our little pink paradise and took to the streets of fashionable cities wearing Nina Ricci and tons of Norma Kamali. Kamali’s pieces are perfect to travel with and layer. I mixed and matched about 8 pieces during my 10-day trip, including a leather coat I used everyday.
I’m grateful for all the memories made along the way as I build my new life in Palm Beach. I also am thrilled to join the Altima Family and share my love for all things fancy, with a little caviar on the side! As we step into June, I look forward to more exciting fashion moments and sharing them with you all on Instagram and out and about in real life.
