The Hugo Spritz is making waves on the Med! We saw it topping the list in Amalfi, and it’s following suit in Spain’s most coveted coastal towns. Sharing the spotlight in de costa a costa is Tinto de Verano, a refreshing twist on the country’s iconic sangria, and closing out Spain’s A-list libations is the ever-popular (as in, no matter what the season) is the Spanish Espresso Martini.

So that’s how the Spaniards manage that post-siesta swagger.

Tinto de Verano

Red wine, lemon soda, and citrus slices

Spanish-Style Espresso Martini

Espresso, Licor 43*, sweetener, cinnamon, lemon or orange zest, 3 coffee beans, and a cinnamon stick as optional garnish

*Licor 43 is a Spanish liqueur withs notes of vanilla, citrus, and spices. It is made from a secret recipe of ingredients that include a blend of fruit juices, herbs, and spices, which are then aged in oak barrels for at least one year. Can be found around the world in large liquor stores (not likely to be found in small grocery stores).

Cheers!, Cin-Cin!, À votre Santé!, ¡Salud!
