Old favorites, new discoveries, and everything in between.
As Palm Beach eases into its slower rhythm, the Hamptons begin to bloom. This season feels like a blend of reunion and renewal, with heritage names we’ve long loved, emerging spots to watch, and a calendar that’s already gaining momentum. From seaside rooftops to garden galas, here’s what we’re keeping an eye on out East.
Coming Soon
The crowd that doesn’t check the clock will feel right at home. Mary Lou’s, the bold and beloved nightlife name from Palm Beach, is preparing to open its Montauk doors this summer. Expect velvet, volume, and the kind of scene that finds you staying out longer than planned.
The Hedges Inn
The Hedges Inn, a Hamptons classic since 1873, is entering a new chapter. Now owned by Andrew and Sarah Wetenhall of The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, it reopens this summer with subtle updates, expanded offerings, and a fresh yet familiar charm. A new restaurant is on the horizon, pairing hospitality with heritage in all the right ways.

Timeless Experiences

Baker House 1650
Baker House 1650 offers a timeless East Hampton escape, where ivy-covered architecture and curated interiors set the tone for an elegant stay. Guests can enjoy champagne hours in the garden, unwind by the pool, or attend one of the property’s signature events, like its vintage car gathering. Keep an eye on their seasonal calendar.
Some places feel like they belong to the neighborhood the moment they arrive. Sage & Madison in Sag Harbor is one of them. With its café, boutique, and upstairs guest rooms, it’s part local favorite, part design destination. Come for the espresso. Stay for the ceramics and linen racks you didn’t know you needed.
Culture and the Social Calendar

The East End continues to deliver on both elegance and experience. At LongHouse Reserve, Luminosity returns on July 12 as one of the summer’s most anticipated garden galas, with cocktails, a curated art auction, and a farm-to-table dinner by Hamptons Aristocrat, set among sculpture and wildflower paths. Not far off, the Parrish Art Museum offers a steady rhythm of exhibitions and open-air events, ideal for a quiet afternoon indoors or golden hour on the lawn.
On the social front, the season is already filling in. From the East Hampton Historical Society’s summer socials to the weekends of polo in Bridgehampton, the calendar feels both classic and current. And of course, all eyes turn to The Hampton Classic in late August, a can’t-miss convergence of equestrian sport, champagne tents, and statement hats.
Style Notes
Diego Binetti and Blue One
Resort style in the Hamptons has always been more tone than trend. At LOVE Binetti in Sag Harbor, Diego Binetti’s effortless silhouettes feel right at home, artful, easy pieces made for sun-soaked terraces and late dinners by the water. Blue One continues to stock elevated staples with just the right amount of edge.
